fails to extract chinese text on german-locale system.

Trying out the e-PDF To Text Converter I downloaded this app and put it to the test with a simple two-sided three-fold brochure in its pdf form. The content was translated into text, RTF, JPGs, TIFFs, URLs (seemingly connected to PDF type faces) and some unknown category labeled "Inflated". These files were deposited neatly into appropriately-named directories. The PDF was distilled, in this manner, less than a minute. The text was then ready to be copy-n-pasted into other documents (in THIS case, a html version). The graphics were in truncated form because this was a trial version app. Other than the form the graphics were created in, ...

Comment: e-PDF To Text Whether its possible to extract coordinate data from this converter. I mean to say, whether it is possible to get the position of each and every word on the particular page as well as the left margin and right margin value of each and every word through this converter. If not, is there any software is gettable to fulfill all the requirements.

PDF2TXT was a life saver for me! I needed to extract text from PDF reports to load data into a database to produce statistical reports. The Adobe save to text file function was wrapping and folding the tabular data unpredictably in the output. Not only did PDF2TXT cleanly convert all the data into tabular text, it did it fast, and conveniently batch processed multiple files. I made my deadline thanks to PDF2TXT!

Works Great. I'm using pdf2txt to convert a pdf document on the fly from a vbscript by executing a shell command. Works flawlessly!

I actually wasn`t able to use it very much. I had to format my computer and found a 'codec' that does the conversion for free and that's all I needed. But it did work well! Thanks.

scrolling text software I was unable to adjust the width of my text to be displayed. The display area was adjustable, but not the text which would show. Didn't spend a lot of time working on it. I tend to assume that any software I need to spend money on should be very easy to use and have documentation in english which is understandable. Also, found the pop up reminder to register/download the software I was already trying out!?! very annoying.

Download and install went fine. However, changing parameters (like font weight, size etc) did not seem to make any difference - at least in Firefox 3. I finally did it by using html tags in the actual text of the script.The real problem, though is that the scroll speeds are wildly different between Internet Explorer 6 and Firefox 3. Did you ever test this software with different browsers?

Almost Great The one feature I needed was a right to left scrolling text. I was able to edit the files with some effort to achieve this, but it would be very helpful if the option was available.

Where is the browser scrollbar stickiness? I have a client who wants the scroller text to function just like a mini windows window. There has to be mid-roller stickiness. I need to be able to have a choice between automatic, manual or intermittent choice to handle the text or what ever in the scroller text box.The pros about this applet is that I don't have to do the programming for such a simple thing.

extract chinese text with position I tried PDFtext. It can extract English text with information position correctly. But I fail to use it extracting Chinese text. The Chinese chars use embeded fonts in my test PDF files. The original code is GB2312, but after using embeded fonts, the Chinese Code becomes Identity-H. Could you please tell my how the PDFtext supports Chinese ? Thank you. Kelvin Zeng
